This list contains most-but-not-all of the writing of mine which has been published. I make an attempt to write everything down but I have two enemies:
- The ever-increasing stack of magazines from which I want to jot down article details for this list. I can never keep up because I'm simply to ill.
- The fact that, quite often, people simply "steal and print" what's on my websites - especially The Fibro/CFS Foothold website - without ever telling me they're doing so.
I find this second practice to be impossibly rude, but there's really no way to stop it and stil share my work. I decided that, in the very end, I'd rather that people being able to freely read my work - whether on the web or on paper - beats the hell out of nobody ever reading it. So up with it, I put. So to speak.
Writing is something I've always done "on the side" and would dearly love to make a more central part of what I do. The "Changing Times" article is the first one I was ever paid for, and I still haven't cashed the cheque - it's more valuable to keep and look at. Actually, it's still the only one I've been paid for, although I always have aspirations of making things more financial when I'm bedridden from disease doesn't seem the right time to tell myself "No, no more writing for 'fun', lets write for 'work' now!" And somehow I just keep writing exactly what I feel like writing and putting it on the website and offering it to 'Emerge' magazine just like always."Invisible Disability Explanation Fatigue", from column Hidden Disabilities
