Miscellaneous

  • (Added May, 2004) To keep chooks of my own, looking after them and perhaps even breeding chicks.
  • Sew a business shirt of usable quality.
  • (Added February, 2005) Build my own Solar Oven, and use it to cook things on a regular basis over some period of time so that it becomes a regularly used kitchen appliance.
  • (Added May, 2003) Learn to be aware in my dreams that I am dreaming, and to eventually master the art of lucid dreaming where I can also direct my dreams and decide what I will dream, how a dream will end, change the course of a dream, etc.
  • Own a home of my own.
  • Work a hobby-farm or other small/medium-sized properly, aiming at self-sufficiency.
  • (Added December, 2004) Live in an ecologically-friendly house that I have built myself, or at least designed myself and supervised the building of.
  • Give a lecture or talk to a large audience.
  • Make a major contribution in some way to helping people with disabilities, be it by volunteering, inventing something, etc.
  • Throw a successful dinner party.
  • (Added 2003) Own a cat!

Done! I acquired a tonkinese kitten – Thomas – in June, 2003 and am living happily with him so far.

  • Have a large garden which I can plant however I like.

Partly Done! With Skud I did extensive gardening/planting at our Preston house, but the gardens don’t count as “large”. I’m living in a flat now but with 31 (at last count) pot plants it almost counts as an indoor jungle.

  • Have someone think of me as “Mummy”.

Note: This doesn’t have to be my biological child, one of the things I’d like to do with my life is foster a child, or children, with disabilities – that’s why I worded the dream/goal like I did.
