Chilli has barely (days ago!) reached the land of the red, white and blue! He's in the careful hands of Meerkat and while she hasn't yet got her scanner working to show us photos, Chilli did send back this happy note after recovering from his long journey from Italy to the USA:

I went out in Meerkat's neighborhood, and we saw a playground and some people from her apartment office. Mostly, though, I want to say I discovered fire hydrants! They're very cool! For a little dog like me, they're much better than human-sized playgrounds. I could climb them, and swing on the chains, and do... well... dog stuff. Meerkat wanted to go home faster, but I persuaded her to take pictures of me on all the fire hydrants I'd climbed. She wouldn't take pictures of me doing the dog stuff though. She says I have to wait to show everyone the pictures.
